The hiking trail was treacherous, with loose rocks and steep cliffs on both sides. One wrong step could send a hiker tumbling down the mountainside. The group moved slowly and carefully.
"Stay vigilant," warned the guide, keeping a close watch on every step. "Pay attention to where you put your feet."
Despite the danger, the scenery was breathtaking. Towering pine trees, rushing waterfalls, and snow-capped peaks created a beautiful view that made everyone stop and stare.
When they finally reached the summit, the hikers felt a sense of accomplishment. They had worked hard to complete the challenging climb, and they were proud of what they had achieved.
Mrs. Chen's classroom had a special project: raising butterflies. The students watched in amazement as tiny caterpillars transformed, or changed completely, into beautiful butterflies.
"The process is called metamorphosis," explained Mrs. Chen. "Unlike some insects that look the same their whole lives, butterflies go through dramatic changes - big, obvious differences at each stage."
The butterflies had delicate wings that could tear easily if handled roughly. The students learned to be gentle when they released the butterflies into the school garden.
"This project has been so rewarding," said one student. "I feel happy and proud to see the butterflies we raised flying in the garden."
