Directions: Read both passages carefully. Then answer the questions comparing the texts. Use evidence from BOTH passages to support your answers.
Text A: "Space Exploration: Worth the Cost" (Editorial)

Critics argue that spending billions on space exploration is wasteful when problems exist here on Earth. However, the benefits of space research far outweigh the costs. Technologies developed for space missions have given us memory foam, water filtration systems, and medical imaging devices. GPS navigation, which millions use daily, exists because of satellites launched for space exploration.

Furthermore, studying other planets helps us understand our own. Climate research satellites monitor Earth's changing weather patterns. The curiosity that drives space exploration also inspires young people to pursue careers in science and engineering. When we invest in space, we invest in our future.

Text B: "Among the Stars" (Poem)

They said the moon was just a rock,
A cold, gray stone too far to touch.
But we reached out with metal hands
And planted flags in lunar dust.

Now Mars calls out across the void,
A red world waiting to be known.
Perhaps one day a child will play
Where no human seed has yet been sown.

We are explorers, dreamers, seekers,
Chasing lights beyond our home.
For in the vast dark sea of space,
We find the courage not to roam alone.
