We are the GPS. You drive the car.

Fast Action Edu is a Florida-based AI lab dedicated to one mission: Removing the friction between "Data" and "Teaching."

What Happened to FastIXL?

FastIXL is now Fast Action Edu. The platform rebranded in January 2026. Fast Action Edu continues to provide the same Florida FAST Data Analysis tools that thousands of Florida teachers relied upon.

Fast Action Edu analyzes Florida FAST assessment data. Teachers upload PM1, PM2, or PM3 CSV exports. The platform generates personalized IXL skill recommendations within seconds. Fast Action Edu creates Automated Grouping rosters based on achievement levels (Levels 1-5). The system produces Grade 3 Portfolio Compliance documentation for third-grade reading requirements.

The transition from FastIXL to Fast Action Edu preserved all user accounts and saved data. Existing subscribers retained their access. The domain fastixl.com now redirects to fastactionedu.com.

Fast Action Edu is not affiliated with IXL Learning, Inc. The platform independently maps Florida B.E.S.T. standards to IXL skill codes.

The Story: It Started on a Sunday Afternoon

I'm Alberto Fernandez, a software developer based in Homestead, FL. My wife is a 3rd-grade teacher assistant.

One Sunday, I watched her staring at a massive spreadsheet of FAST PM1 data. She looked exhausted. She knew that her students were struggling, but she didn't have the time to map 25 different skill gaps to 25 different students while also lesson planning, grading, and managing IEPs.

She had the Data, but she didn't have the Time.

I asked her, "What if I wrote a code that reads that spreadsheet and tells you exactly which IXL skill every student needs to practice tomorrow?"

I built a prototype that afternoon. She used it on Monday. By Friday, her entire grade-level team was using it.

Today, Fast Action Edu supports thousands of Florida teachers, Charter Networks (like Mater Academy and Somerset), and Principals who refuse to let spreadsheets steal their weekends.

The Philosophy: "Stop Worshipping the Screwdriver"

Fast Action Edu isn't just a software tool; it is built on a specific philosophy regarding Artificial Intelligence.

Alberto is the author of the AI manifesto, Stop Worshipping the Screwdriver (2023). The central thesis of the book is simple: Technology is just a tool. It should serve humans, not burden them.

"We don't build AI to replace the craftsman; we build it so the craftsman doesn't have to sweep the floor."

- Alberto Fernandez

In education, we often "worship the screwdriver" - we obsess over the testing data and the platforms, forgetting that the goal is simply to help a child read better.

We built Fast Action Edu to prove that data analysis should take seconds, not weekends. By applying the principles from the book - automation, clarity, and "anti-slop" engineering - we created a platform that treats teachers like professionals, not data entry clerks.

The Analogy: The Car vs. The GPS

Principals often ask us: "Does this replace IXL, i-Ready, or Performance Matters?"

No.

Schools today have incredible vehicles. You have IXL, i-Ready, HMH, Star, and Performance Matters. These are powerful "cars" designed to move students forward. But a fast car without a map just gets you lost faster.

Fast Action Edu is your GPS.

The Input

We ingest data from FAST (PM1/PM2/PM3), Performance Matters (Topic Tests/Science/Civics), and i-Ready Diagnostics.

The Route

We calculate the most efficient path for every single passenger.

The Destination

We tell you exactly which skill (the road) to take to reach Proficiency (the destination).

You keep driving the car. We just make sure you aren't driving in circles.

Our Evolution: From "FastIXL" to "The Data Warehouse"

You may have known us previously as FastIXL. In January 2026, we rebranded to Fast Action Edu.

Why? Because we outgrew the name. We realized that student data lives in silos. You have FAST scores in one portal, Performance Matters results in another, and i-Ready diagnostics in a third.

We realized that to truly help teachers, we had to break down those silos. Fast Action Edu is now a central hub that ingests data from:

  • FAST (State Progress Monitoring)
  • Performance Matters (District Assessments, Science Grade 5/8, Civics Grade 7)
  • i-Ready & Star (Diagnostics)

We take all these confusing signals and turn them into one simple output: A clear action plan for Monday morning.

Who We Are: The Cothink Ecosystem

Fast Action Edu is the flagship education product of Cothink LLC, a Florida-based "AI-First" technology lab.

We don't just build gradebooks; we build intelligent systems across industries. This gives your school access to enterprise-grade technology that other ed-tech companies can't match.

Our Family of Tools:

CoThink.pro

Our central AI research platform. It powers the deep-reasoning algorithms that analyze your FAST data and identify "Technical Bubble" students.

Cleverly AI

A dedicated "Kid-Safe" AI environment. We use Cleverly's safety protocols to ensure every student interaction on Fast Action Edu is COPPA-compliant and filtered for safety.

VoxNexus

Our AI Telephony & Voice Agent division. This technology allows us to build advanced communication tools for schools, from multilingual parent outreach bots to automated attendance verification, helping your front office focus on students, not phone lines.
