Kindergarten Critical Benchmarks

MA.K.NSO.1.1 - Count Objects (0-20)

Count a group of up to 20 objects and write the numeral. Students must connect counting sequence to actual quantities (cardinality - last number said is "how many").

Recite number names to 100 by ones and tens. Counting by tens introduces early place value concept.
